The Publishing House “Fan” published a number of 1000 copies of the scientifically commented translation of the “Foreword” of the manuscript “Zafarname” from Persian into Uzbek, prepared by the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and scientists of the State Museum of the Temurids History.
The author of translation from the Persian, the preface and scientific comments is O. Buriev, the compiler of the names of individuals, geographical, topographical and ethnic names is A. Sharipov. The book provided for readers is a reliable source of the scientifically commented translation of the part of the “Foreword” of the manuscript “Zafarname” written by the famous historian Sharafiddin Ali Yazdi, is the most valuable work dedicated to the history of the statehood of Sahibkiran Amir Temur. Based on the requirements of academic translation, the publication contains appendices, such as a preface, scientific comments and indicators.
