During the years of Independence, our rich spiritual heritage, national values have been restored, including the role of Amir Temur Sahibkiran in the history of world culture, and special attention was paid to in-depth study and popularization of the Temurid history.
On April 9, 2021, in honor of the 685th anniversary of the birth of Amir Temur, a solemn event “Honor to Sahibkiran Amir Temur” was held on Amir Temur Avenue with the participation of the city administration of Tashkent, the State Museum of Temurid History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Amir Temur International Philanthropic Public Fund. During the event, the military band of the Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan performed songs. Wreaths were laid at the monument to Great Amir Temur with the participation of invited statesmen and public figures, representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps, activists from mahallas and young students.
After that, the participants were invited to the State Museum of Temurid History, to the spiritual house built in the years of independence. National musical instruments sounded for the invited guests, and a series of events were organized. In particular: the opening ceremony of the exhibitions “Books on the history of Amir Temur and the Temurids published in the years of independence” and “Collection of numismatics of the State Museum of Temurid History” dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of Uzbekistan and the 685th anniversary of Sahibkiran were held.
In the small conference room of the museum, in collaboration with the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Museum of Temurid History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Amir Temur International Philanthropic Public Fund an international online conference on the topic “Sahibkiran Amir Temur – the creator of the Temurid Renaissance”was held.
According to an annual tradition, an “Open Door Day” was held at the museum until evening.
